I had a badass idea the other night while driving behind a green civic sedan on my way home... If you shave the tail lights out of the trunk of a sedan (96-00) would u lose anything important besides your back up lights? does the part connected to the fender (the red part) light up?

here's my question- can someone find a sedan rear end pic and shave the center sections of the tails and replace them with either Lexus Is 300 tails OR mitsubishi back up lights? (so that you don't lose the back up lights all together)... would this look good, or was I just REALLY tired on my way home?!

anyone??(sorry this is my first time posting in this part of the forum, and sorry if I am going about it all wrong....)

I'm not sure if this is exactly what your looking for but i think it may be along the line you looking for, these are just covers i am pretty sure, but you should be able to get the general idea

HELL YES!!! thank you so much... now... lol, where'd you find that? where can I get some? are they just black outs with half missing and then painted to match? I like it... does anyone else like it? It would, however, get rid of my backup lights..... but if I made them myself I am sure I could fix that

I may just be better off tinting them with some rock gaurd too though.. i dunno yet.... thanks man!!
