HondaCivicForum.com - DIY: How to lower your car via photoshop

Lowering your car is only one small step in virtual tuning. Look at the cars on the track, Their suspension is LOW! a lowered stance provides better turning and handeling but it also gives it a meaner and more agressive look so there is no question why you should lower your car. To see what it would look like on your car, follow these steps.

1. Select your car. Follow the outside edges of the image on the top and come strait from the bottom of the bumper, up into the wheel well, around the side skirts, up into the rear wheel well, then strait to the edge and follow the image up

Now that you got the top portion of the image and your car selected, copy and paste it. You can goto edit>copy edit>paste but if you really want to learn more and more about photoshop, you should get familiar with some of the hotkeys and shortcuts, so just press CTRL and C to sopy, CTRL and V to paste.

Now this step is realy simple, just drag it down. you can tuck some tire or make it look like you got a fat chick in the back and your suspension is about to blow out, that is all up to you on how you want to lower it. after you complete the next step, you can always raise it back up and lower it further so dont feel obligated on just one location just yet

this is what your screen should look like, it should look a little choppy unless you took the time to select every pixle around the edge of your car..

so now you just clean it up. take a hard tip brush and erase around the edges to give it a realistic clean look around the edges. it should look like this!

to add a shadow, goto the layer that you copy'd and pasted, and click drop shadow, go to drop shadows properties and play with the ball till the shadow looks natural!

now just crop the image to your liking and your good to go, you now have a lowered car. This is only 1 of the many things you can do.
