Default 12 Year Old Civic, New Spoiler?

So my DX doesnt come stock with a spoiler. I'v been looking on eBay for one and found that most need to be painted. My DX is black, but 12 years old.

So when I get my new spoiler painted (even with car paint code) will it look darker then the car??

No, not if your paint has been kept well. If your paint is faded then you need to compound and buff the finish. You'll be surprised at how much the original color returns. Once you get the spoiler painted it won't be that noticeable if any at all. My car is 11 years old, I put my spoiler on when it was like 8 years old and the paint matches very well.

Real fine wet sanding usually works to get the oxidization off. read up on it before you do it though.
