Okay so update...i got the new center caps now on my car and theyre the stock silver color (almost match my car perfectly) and cleaned the **** outa my cx on saturday haha so im debating on the black or gold for my rims...its a total toss up because i like all the black but a darker gold (like bronze almost) would be sick.

And i wanted to ask...we have this friday off of skool because its good friday. How long does it take to paint all 4 wheels? or should i just do it the gheto way and do it one wheel at a time and just keep my donut spare on it while theyre drying?

I need advice......

 

Wheel painting shouldn't take too long, it is the drying that would. I'd do like 2-3 coats of primer, and then your base color like 3-4 times until you get the color you want, and then clear coat if you want. Wait about 10 minutes between coats, you don't need to put as many layers as I said but it'll be less prone to chipping off. If you can get the tires off the rims it'll be easier to not have to tape the tire off. And if anything get a set of steelies with trash tires of craigs cheap just for the day or two.

And I say bronze.

 

Yah i am gonna try and do that i think so that i can take as long as i want...Im just not sure if a bronze or gold color would look good cause nothing else on my car is that color...a lot of my car is bllack already so itd go well...i think ima paint my center caps on friday and try doing one of them gold/bronze just to see if i like it with the silver and black.

 

Paint everything pink... end of story.

 

Haha wow i forgot that i even had this thread haha wel 1st off NOOO to the pink lmao and obviously i havent gotten much done with the wheels or vc since havent posted on here in forever. I did however paint my center caps which u can see on my project thread i just dont have pics of them on my ride...i also painted my back "H" logo black and it looks nice hahaha imnot gonna mess with painting anything else until college when i can actually begin working on my car. So the VC and wheels being changed basically wont happen unless i decide to actually keep my car after college which i prolly wont but we'll see.

 

Pink is a safe color im just saying I got sooo many compliments on my pinkies

 

they look good on your color green or whatever but not my car plus ima guy haha
