It's a '94 EX, actually

and Phan10m and Flip, I hand washed it; nothing but a bucket of soapy water and a rag for me (for now, anyway). I'd have used some Armor-All or something, but I really didn't feel like covering the dizzy and sensors. I'm probably going to go back next week or so, re-paint the valve cover (I accidently scratched the paint when I was sanding down the letters) repaint everything that was blue (I'm changing the color to black), paint the strut brace black, and swap out the blue wire loom for black. After I do that, I'm going to clean it again and polish everything up.I just wanted to get all the major stuff out of the way yesterday.

On a side note, I'm thinking about painting my intake tube black, since the tube is a little worse for wear... anybody have any input on this? Good idea? Bad idea? let me know!

And Flip, I figured you'd like the DC wristband lol

thats preaty much what i want to do to my engine bay eventualy. BUT i want stock paint so i have to wait till i can find out the paint code from my civic.... cause its not stock... its got a blue flake in it... looks realy good in the sun

also dont forget to put some black loom on the washer hoses thats the first thing i did! no one wants to look at a ugly yellowish hose.LOL

Not too long... the cover used to be blue, so I sanded that down a little, cleaned it off, and sprayed it down. I'd say maybe an hour or so, but most of the time was waiting to put on the next coat. Then I sanded off the letters and accidently scratched up the cover [:@]

I'm going to repaint it sometime soon, and this time, I'm using chapstick

Good luck, Phan10m... post pics here when you're done...

I may have read over it but did you say you covered up any thing before you cleaned your bay?

I'd like to clean mine but dont have the time to cover every thing that needs to be covered.
