Default Getting rid of scratches on the outside paint

Is there any way to get rid of scratches in the paint on the outside like a way to cover it up with touch up paint or a magic scratch remover? Or is a new paint job the way to go?

depends on how bad the scratches are? .. if they are not that bad you rubbing compound you can find at walmart works wonders .. you can use your hand or a low speed buffer.. but warning dont buff for too long or press to hard you will burn through your clear coat then your pretty much screwed.

I'd say the scratches are to the body it looks like it's rusted so would that rubbing thing from walmart still work?

No..it only fixes light scratches and touch up paint is only a cheap way to fix it.. You would have to sand it down if there is rust and re paint i would think.. esp if the scratch is that deep with rust.
