Glass Cleaner

I have a '13 Civic. I've owned several German and Japanese cars and have always noticed that my Japanese car's glass never seems clean. Or once it's clean it never stays clean. I can clean it today and tomorrow it has a fogged look. My car never sleeps outside; it's always garaged so I don't think it's the environment. And after owning several Japanese cars and noticing the same thing with all of them, I don't believe that "glass is glass". Just like the German cars have more brake dust on the wheels than Japanese cars do.

So my question is this; has anyone found a good trick/cleaner that cleans the glass well and keeps it that way?

Thanks in advance.

there are multiple nano technology glass protection products on the market you can look into that seem promising.

I use Stoner's Invisible Glass. Part of your problem is that the car is new and the plastics are outgassing. This happens on new cars. When parked in the garage I would roll your windows down so the car can ventilate.

Thanks for the reply. I will try that, although I'll say that I do have my sunroof popped open quite a lot. How long would you think I'd need to leave my windows down for this outgassing to be done? My car is now 10 months old.

Just wanted to say I came to this forum looking for tips on glass, plastic, seats, and other details for my 2013 Civic (2 weeks old). Thanks for your question here and for the responses you obtained.

Hello, I'm curious about this too. I did some research and it came down to 2 cleaners. Though I haven't yet purchased or tested them. If anyone has experience with either products please share.

1. Stoner 92164 Invisible Glass for Window, Windshield and Mirror Cleaner - 22 oz
2. Adam's Glass Cleaner

I actually have the Stoner glass cleaner sitting in my garage. It's ok, but I have to use it a couple times before the glass seems clean. Then it seems like it must leave some kind of residue on the glass because within a day I need to clean it again. Granted I live in So Cal close to the beach so there is humidity in the air but my car never sleeps outside. Bottom line I've found the best thing is just plain old water, like when you wash the car. The glass is never cleaner. I'd love to know if someone finds a cleaner that is truly spectacular. If you find one, please include the specific brand, or a link. Thanks

Even I have to clean the glass a number of times every day due to the residue left on the glass.I am into automotive industry and want an effective solution.
