greasy dashes

I just got my new car and the dash and steering wheel look nice, but feel terrible!!

Just to go over with everyone who likes to clean their own car, there are many ways to get that shiny look without being super greasy.

The best way to clean a dash and all of the plastics in your car is by using a non-ammonia, non-alcohol glass cleaner; like Windex for auto or others like it. Using stuff with those will eventually lead to fading, and cracking, due to loss of hydration in the materials.

In order to get the high gloss shine that everyone likes without the greasy feel is to use stuff that is slightly more expensive than Armor All. Meguires makes a fantastic product that will give a nice shine, and hold on for at least a couple of weeks. The best way to make sure that the dash is not greasy, in my opinion, is to wipe again with a microfiber lens cloth so that there is no lint left behind.

yep, meguiars and mothers have always been good to me, but armor all is still fine imo, just a tad more greasy as you mentioned but nothing that bugs me. i still use all three depending on what i feel like buying at the moment at the auto store :D

I'm using Mother's Protectant. Couldn't be happier with my results.
