"Check engine" light always on

Default "Check engine" light always on

I have a Honda Civic(ferio, vtec) 2000 model. Recently ive noticed the fuel consumption being reasonably high, some months ago, my car used to do 10 km per litre (city running), but of late, its only doing about 7km per litre. Today, when i started the car, the check engine light came on and remained on, while the other two lights (oil and batt lights) went off.

What could be the reason for this...could thehigh fuel consumption be a result of somethingto dowith the check engine lights coming on?

Also, i hear the fan beltmake a noise louder than itshould [&:]

Please help...

You need to get the code read and find out what it's warning you about

my car problum same u..
u try check the wireing....
maybe have a soket not joining....!!
