look at the link i posted, you can buy a obd1 chipped ecu then you buy a jumper harness that allows you to plug the obd1 ecu upto your plugs. you will need a obd2b to obd1 jumper, you can get it from www.rywire.com

you live in california so for emmissions and inspection you will have to put the stock ecu back in and drive 50 miles before going

Ding ding ding. ^this. I have had two boosted OBD2 cars. One was OBD2a and the other OBD2b. To get it tuned, I bought a chipped p28 ECU which is OBD1 from Phearable and then the corresponding correct jumper harness.

Im kind of curious why you're interested in an ecu. I mean you CAN get more HP out of a stock car that's tuned, but it's not worth the 600$+ youll end up spending on tuning and the ECU for only 10-15 hp. However, if you have a modified B16 with head work or a TON of bolt ons

Hondata my friend. I have a S100 chipped P28 running my current B18B1 with IEH I had a shocking 133whp and 127lbs, about 25 more hp to the wheels than a stock B18B1. I know that everyone is going to say you cant get that much power from IHE but I have my dyno sheet to prove it. With just IHE put down 117whp and 116lbs, tuning really made a huge difference. But a Type R ECU will not do much of anything for your B16, it is tuned for a high compression 1.8L with larger cams. Unless you motor is built it will be a waste.
