I have search all over for info on this swap. I am stuck on the wiring. I am swaping a 99 B18b1 into my 98 Hx. The Hx has a 5 wire o2 sensor and a 3 wire crank sensor. While the B18b1 it is obd2, has a 4 wire o2 sensor and a 2 wire crank sensor. From what I have been able to research the fastest and easy way is to use a 96-98 Lx or Dx harness. However it has a 3 wire crank sensor to, from what I can tell on the wire diagram. Has anyone done this swap? How do I fix the crank sensor problem? Please help I need to do the swap very soon. Oh yeah I need to stay obd2, I dont have a obd1 ecu to use. Can't afford to by one now I already have the obd2 ecu.

 

ill look around and try and find you something but i do know obd1 dont have a crank sensor, they have them in the dizzy(camshaft position sensor). the 5 wire to 4 wire o2 isnt a real problem theres ways to convert that. look up the pinouts for your new ecu that will tell you what to wire up. if it requires a 2 wire or 3 wire crank sensor.

 

Yeah I have all the ecu pin outs. The main proble I am seeing with the 5 wire O2 sensor is that it is wired to the intake temp sensor, egr and vtec sensors on the hx. Like I siad the quickest fix for this is to use the Lx or Dx harness. But the LX/Dx harness still uses a 3 wire crank sensor, I need it to be a 2 wire. Both the b18 and d16 ecu pins for the crank sensor are the same C1 and C11. They both only use 2 ecu pins, but the d16 sensor is a 3 wire. Please any help.
