Best bang for buck?
 

I'm lookin into an ECU chip and i cant find one for less than $600. Anyone know of a good online site?

for what purpose? if your looking for generic chip, not recomended, all cars are different, even if they have the same setup, they are still different. you mentioned best bang, hondat or uberdata and dyno=best bang

well i've got an automatic transmission and i was trying to find one that will make my shifting time a little faster. Also i'm lookin for one thats gunna regulate my fuel distribution. i know their isnt one magic chip to solve everything but i'm just kinda lookin for an all around improvement.

u dont anything for ur fuel. Your fuel system is just fine until u bolt on a turbo which i kno ur not gonna get anytime soon. Your regular fuel system could hold up to 50 extra hp. So if ur not going turbo then u dont need fuel upgrade niether spark upgrade.

by faster, do you mean you want it to shift sooner? at a lower rpm? or to transition between gears quicker? i dont think a chip will help you with that.... what you need is a manual tranny!!!!!!!

another thought... you might try a different ecu.... from a model that is more performance oriented... lot cheaper than 600.00.. or change to a vtec head...... minime..
have you done any exhaust or intake mods yet? start with that before you play with your ecu... more noticable gain, with moderate wallet pain..

right on. haha yea i know i need a manual. i'm in highschool and my mom was retarded about a manual tranny. Belieeeve me that would have been my first choice but i'm just trying to work with what i got. Yea i'm puttin a cold air on in the next few weeks as well as a new exhaust. After i get that stuff up and running i'll start trying to tune mt ECU. Thanks for the advice

just out of curiosity, is it possible to tune your ecu to shift at a lower rpm?

It should shift where it's supposed to if you don't press the gas too hard..
