bigger alternator??

I've got a persistant highpitched whinning noise in my system whenever I use too much electricity in my civic (94 ex), mostly when i turn on the rear window defogers. Do you think its possible for me to install a bigger alternator into the car??is so..what kind??
thanks

RE: bigger alternator??

is it possible... yes, very. Is that necessarily going to fix the problem... I dont know. Are you running a high wattage stereo or something?

One possibility is an engine grounding kit, look into that. If that doesnt fix the problem then you still have better grounding which never hurts (some say that you get a few HP out of it and some say that acceleration is smoother) all for about $50

I assume that u have a cap with that bad ass system setup.
And I hope your RCA cables don't run close to the power wire.
