Default Decent Price For a Tune?

Hey guys Lately I have been looking around and trying to figure out how to put a turbo together. I have basically (to my knowledge) know what I have to get. anyway, here is my question: I was looking around for fuel management stuff and was thinking, Hey! I can tune my car myself...well, I researched and researched but am still very confused. So I decided to go to one of the local tuner shops here in Ohio. I went in and asked how much for a dyno tune; He said it would take about 3 hours and the rate was $125 per hour; which would be a total of $375. I do have the money to do this but was wondering if this was a decent rate for a tune.

That's a good price for a tune. I paid a flat rate of 300.00 for my tune but the guys weren't the most talented tuners in the world. Depending on the shop a tune can range anywhere from 300-700. What kind of rep./work does the shop have? A tune is really important so if the shop doesn't have a good rep. then i would go someone else. good luck!

Is it necessary or even needed to just tune up a car that just has about 70,000 miles on it? Or is a tune necessary for the turbos and older engines? Pros/cons anyone?

a "tune up" is when you get new plugs, wires, dizzy, flush fluids, etc..
