dist. problem

Default dist. problem

i have a 93 civic HB 1.5l non vtec and i bought a new cap and rotor and ive only had it for about 3 weeks now and theres allready corosion build up on the metal ***** inside the cap snd theres a decent amount? any input on what to do (besides clean it) or what might be wrong??? i have new NGK plugs, 9 mm wires and the cap and rotor is Gsport (mr gasket)

Why did you replace original ones? And why not by OEM parts? I frankly don't know what is Gsport( or mr gasket for that matter)

Im guessing the cover doesnt fit properly? Clean it up and get an OEM....see if it persists.

you really dont need an aftermarket ignition system, if you were going for power, the stock honda ignition sys. is known for up to about 400hp

he's not planning to get an aftermarket ignition system. he was asking why there's a corrosion build up on the metal inside the distributor cap, and it's a brand new cap n' rotor
