driving untuned
 
i met some dude yesterday driving untuned on a boosted civic, isnt this dangerous since he deosnt have the coorect air fuel ratios, or am i wrong?

you can drive un tuned as long as you dont hit boost.. if you make boost it'll blow up b/c it wont know what to do.

but i heard the bov, how do u not hit boost? u set it on the boost controller?

thats one way.. but you can also not get into the rpms very high under load.

you can drive all day without makign any boost.. its all how you drive

you heard the bov b/c the turbo's still pushing air but its not making a positive pressure in the manifold. so when he shifted or let off it was the bov venting the air that the turbo moved

Yes, Turbos are DEPENDANT ON LOAD NOT RPMS
