Default ect help?

Hello everyone I have a 94 civic dx. I left a friend of mine replace my transmisson and when he did it was just a cluster ****. Most of the problems we were able to take care of but there is still one thing bothering me. The temp needle stays on cold and never moves. I did my reseach and wasn't able to come up with much. I found of that the sensor under the dizzy is the ect and I found mine and it's cut. I have three other wires that are cut and I'm so confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Posting pics in a sec.

The 1-wire sensor under the distributor is the temp gauge sending unit. It has a Yel/Grn wire. Solder/shrink wrap that wire to its connector and plug it into the sensor. The gauge should then work again.

The three coming from the harness
1. Yellow/green
2. Red/white
3. Green/white

The two from the sensor
1. Red/yellow
2. Green/blue

The Red/Wht and Grn/Wht wires are for the 2-wire ECT sensor under the distributor. Solder/shrink wrap those wires to the matching wires of the sensor connector. This will make CEL code 6 go away and you'll get better mpg and a better idle.

The 1-wire sending unit is located just rearward of the 2-wire ECT sensor under the distributor.

For the idle problem, start by resetting the ECU. If the idle doesn't improve after some driving, then clean the IACV and FITV, and bleed the cooling system.
