Default ecu
if i swap a 1st gen B16a on my 93 hatch, do i need to do anything to the ecu? i know mine hatch is a OBD1. Info is greatly appriace it.

you would need a obd 1 b16 ecu. you would need to add vtec if your car did not come equiped though. if your talking about tuning the ecu, if the motor is stock then no tuning would be needed.

my hatch is an si and im getting the B16a complete swap with the ecu included. doesn the jdm 1st gen B16a an obd.

if the b16 you are getting is OBD 1 then it will pretty much just drop in and plug in with no real hassles

is the 1st gen jdm b16a an obd1 or can i just use the one the comes with the complete swap.

does anybody know if you have an EX intake manifold......do you need to switch the ecu

soo, your saying that i can use the one from the swapp? If that is true then im golden. I just wanna make sure before i start the swap and then i wont start cause of the ecu.
