hondata, crome tuning....

I just bought a 99 civic EX that has been turbo'd and ther car drives and pulls like a dream. No issues whats so ever. Ive had the car for about 3 months now as my daily driver and i lost the person who owned this car before me's number and i want to get it tuned to be on the safe side, well anyways if it was tuned before like he said would he have used hondata or crome or anything to be tuned or changed ECU? How could i see if he has this already on the car? ...and also if theres not can i still get it tuned on a dyno without buying hondata or anything to change the ECU? Looking to get my car tuned soon but not if i have to pay for the tuner guy on his dyno AND hondata so he can run off that?

well if it's tuned then it will have an ECU conversion harness and an OBD1 ECU (should be a P28). So just look at your ECU. If it's the stock ECU (P2P) then it hasn't been tuned.

You could also have a piggyback unit (such as AEM EMS or GReddy E-manage) but I think you would have noticed it if you had one.

Here's how to identify an ECU if you don't know how already:
