I bought a JDM Fuel Pressure Regulator for my 2000 Civic Ex D16Y8. I was wondering if anyone can give me complete step-by-step directions on how to install this?

 

It's a fairly simple affair, but to be safe, go get a Hayne's or other shop manual of your choice. Otherwise... relieve the fuel pressure and it's like two hex bolts and a little hose. Good luck.

 

The only tip I have is to sell that "jdm" fuel pressure regulator. If you really want an FPR spend the money for a nice one, or you'll end up regretting it down the road

 

What type of FPR would you recommend that I get?

 

aeromotive is a good name. You could go with a B&M, but I've heard even those aren't the best.

What's your current motor setup?

 

d16y8 with dc header, skunk2 i/m and 68mm throttle body, and short ram intake

 

For installation:

Relieve Fuel Pressure- Unscrew gas cap
Detatch Negative Battery Terminal- On battery lol
Take off the fuel hose and the vacuum hose from the FPR
Unscrew Mounting Bolts
Remove Regulator
Install New Regulator- Installation is reverse of removal
Use a new O-ring- Make sure to put a light coat of CLEAN oil on the ring [sm=yeahsmile.gif]
Check for fuel leaks!!!

go with like a b&m or like an aem yeah they are pricy but nice

 

Alright thanks, What does anyone sugest for fuel injectors? I was looking at getting Venom.

 

unless you are running some stage 3 cams and some extensive modding like forced induction your stock injectors will do just fine
