How to reset ecu?

I installed a new air intake but havent done anything to my ecu and everyone says to reset it. How do you do it in a 95 civic?

You can either disconnect the battery or take out the ECU fuse for about 15 minutes.

Unless you get a CEL I dont' see any reason to reset it. Your ECU will re-learn the new A/F.

sniper if u reset the ecu you power gain will go up to 30 HP. Personally id do an engine dressup kit while i was under there and THEN reset the ecu.....................lol jk

the computer is made to adjust to that sort of change.........i mean think about it......the a/f ration wont be the same in summer as it is in winter...................cuz the air is colder and less dense yadda yaddda ya,

RE: How to reset ecu?

if ur concerned about it, then just take the negitive off of the battery and then pump the brakes untill there to hard to push anymore which drains the rest of the juice out and let it sit with the negitive off for about 30-45mins. it dosnt really matter all the much tho.
