injectors vs. economy?
ok, so i have read the list of injectors and what not but i still have one question. When i upgrade injectors (most likely to dsm 450cc) will they harm my fuel economy? I dont think they will because 450 is their max flow, they "should" have a smaller duty cycle or what ever because the cyclender can only burn so much fuel...which leads me to another question....when i upgrade, how will my ECU handle the change? do i need to just reset the ECU and be done or something else? i was just asking any one who had some first hand knowldge rather than just my logical thinking....
thank you.
thank you.
why are u goin to put 450's in? if your goin boost then yes do a set of 450's on a vafc2 or hondata.. have worked with both so they work.
theres really no reason to have 450's without boost
and yes they will harm your fuel mileage slightly... maybe around19-21 mpg but they will only harm the mileage when your inboost. so if your not in boost they will act like stock inj's

they will kill your fuel economy and perfornmance unless you get the ecu chipped by some program or a vafc to control the injecotrs. they flow alot more than a stock injector and without the ecu being chipped they will stay open the same amount of time a stock one would and you would run super rich.
