Default Performance Chip

I have a 97 DX, and I want to get a chip. Has anyone ever used one? What brand do I get? Do they actually work? Cuz there are lots for CHEAP on ebay. But how well can a $20 chip work

I was also wondering about these chips. They almost seem to good to be true. They claim to add 10-20 HP, how can they be so cheap? Anybody have experience with these things? Here are some links to them:

These chips do not work at all. If you buy one of the cheap chips from ebay that makes 10-20 HP gains what you will get is a little circuit thing that you stick in your intake.
A friend of mine put it in his 03 si and he saw no power gain, and his check engine light came on because of it. A soon as it came off, the light went off.

most of them just trick you computer into thinking its running cold... so it starts dumping in more fuel for your ride to burn. Not a good thing
