Default Quick Question

I need to replace an O2 sensor on my 99 Accord (v6, vtec).

Do i HAVE TO replace it with another O2 from a Honda Accord, or can i use a different sensor that's not for my car? The price range is huge and i dont feel like spending a lot of cash.

Thanks

I think you can find an Oxy-Sniffer in the aftermarket. You need to know what the parameters of the Stock are ... and match those parameters to the one you buy to replace it. Honda dosen't make the part; nor the box it come it. They buy bulk parts and boxes and add-on a big chunk of mark-up when the part goes in a box with a Honda Logo. Just like Harley-Davidson. Harley don't have Oil Refineries. But, they charge 9-Bucks a Quart for Oil in a Plastic Bottle with their Logo on it!
