Default runs good at times then bad ??

i got a 94 honda civic ex /5 spd with 174.000 mi on it , here the problem , when you first drive it runs fine at first , then it kinda starts missin , not real bad , but comes ands goes . i replaced the ffuel filter , no luck , all plugs are look good .was running fine untili took off the spool valve to fix a oil leak , all i did was clean off gasket ,put a little silicone around it and put it bac together, then degreased the engine , all this started after that thought maybe had moisture in the dist cap , took it off cleaned it , noticed it had a little oil in the bottom of it ,but did`nt make any difference , could it be possible that i may have water in the fuel ?? please help

It's not water in the fuel cause than it'd run like crap all the time. Does it get worse at certain RPM?
