Secondary O2 sensor problem

Recently purchased a 96 hx and found an issue. I thought I needed a new secondary o2 sensor but turned out the exhaust was the wrong setup. The hx dumps directly into the cat. Somebody swapped out the exhaust from (I'm guessing) an ex model where the cat is remote. The o2 sensor comes through the floor on this setup and there is no plug for it on my car. Anybody know of a wiring mod for this? Id rather not buy a whole new exhaust setup for it.

Thanks guys
-Ben

can all ways drill a hole and have a bung welded in place. If it’s for you downstream o2 it needs to be after the cat. If it’s upstream o2 then it needs to be be4 the cat. Now if you have no cat then that’s why your pop CEL. You have 2 options
1. get a dummy downstream o2 that will tell your ECU what it wants to hear.
or
2. get your downstream o2 code removed from your ECU. Now the down fall to both is if you do add a cat or do have a cat then when it goes bad you won’t pop a CEL for it cus your dummy o2 is still telling your ECU everything is just fine. I try to cover everything cus I'm confused on what your really asking in your post,.

the cat on the hx and I believe on the dx are both attached to the manifold. the cat on an ex or lx are attached separate from the manifold on the exhaust just past the engine. the guy who owned the car before me took the hx exhaust off my car and put on one from an ex. I need to know where the original secondary o2 sensor plugged in, because mine doesn't have one. there is one in the cat that I put on now, but I can't find the location of the wiring harness

i would order an obd2 to obd1 conversion harness and an obd1 ecu, which doesn't have a code for the secondary o2 sensor. i don't know which ecu you need though
