Default SI ECU swap

I have a Q? A local kid told me that I could put a SI ECU in my 99ex and it would change something!!.... I dont exactly recall what he said it would do.. I think he said it would register the aftermarket parts better but im not sure I believe that...anyone know if that true or not??

you CAn do it, but the fuel and timing maps are for the b16, and it wont run right on your motor. let alone the fact that the rev limiter is way higher, so if you happen to get too wrapped up in driving, you could easily blow your engine.

the ECU will change you rfuel mapping to something that your setup isnt configured for, buy a fuel controller and you will see results 100x better than an ECU that isnt made for your car. And tell your friend that he is a moron... seriously, that was horrible advice.
