Swapping ECU's

Swapping ECU's
Ok I have a 97 HX which uses the P2N ECU. The way the HX works (for those that don't know) is that it runs off of 12 valves until it hits 3100 rpms the the vtec-e kicks in and it runs off of 16 valves. (Great for gas mileage) If I get a Skunk 2 chipped P28 ecu and swap it with the P2N ECU, it puts the vtec at 4,800 rpm's. My question is will it not even work on my car? Is there a way to adjust the vtec-e in the ecu? Or could I get the ecu then buy a separate vtec controller to adjust the vtec setting?

RE: Swapping ECU's
I don't want to change the vtec setting I want to keep it at 3100 rpms (only 12 valves up to 4,800 rpms...ouch) while changing out my ecu to a chipped one. I've heard good things about the apexi controller, plus they look sweet but a standard vtec controller would do the job if thats the route I go
