type of gas
i just bought a 93 civic ex coupe and it has a b16a in it. the previous owner to use nothing but premium gas. i was wondering if i should continue to burn premium? is it worth it to burn premium over regular? what are the advantages/disadvantages besides price?

high octane gas burns hotter and cleaner therefore leaving less deposits in the motor, and to me i can notice a difference though small in gas milage and power, so overtime it is well worth the price for a clean healthy running motor.

Your B16 most likely needs premium to run properly. Don't cheap out and use a lower grade.
Wrong wrong wrong. Here's a quick quote from the first link provided if you click above.
"....Contrary to widespread belief, the octane rating doesn't indicate how much power the fuel delivers; all grades of gasoline contain roughly the same amount of heat energy. Rather, a higher octane rating means the fuel is less likely to cause your engine to knock or ping."
