Default v-tec controller instead of p28???

Will this work for my mini-me swap instead of a p28? Will this work? I don't want it just to lower the v-tec kick in... I dont have a p28 yet and I can get one of these for cheap...

you have to have a vtec ecu to use that, so If you don't have one, it won't work.

It's almost 100 bucks. You can get a p28 for that.

It is on ebay, but I can get one from my buddy for cheap, so I was wondering if that would work, but since it won't I guess I'll keep my search up for an ecu... thanks.
