What are the best starting modifications for a 1992 Civic Hatchback(165,000km)
My name is Dan. I am 17 and live in Mission B.C.... I have a 1992 Honda Civic Hatchback with only 165,000 km. I am starting to make good money now, and have decided to put some modifacations on the motor.... The only problem is I have no idea what would be best for the car and the motor. I am looking to add 30-60 hp and any sugestions would help alot.... Thanks

first of all do suspension. Some lowering springs and some wheels to start things off ftw. Then if you wanna do some major modifications, start saving for a turbo project, or if you wanna do something basic, get a nice I/H/E setup
you should start with ACL bearings. They sell a racing bearing set that sells for 99 bucks, they are gold, after installing these bearings the skies the limit for your motor
30-60 HP? You can get around 15-20 HP with I/H/E thats being generous, you can prolly reach 35-40 HP with cams and tune. Anymore then that your gonna need head work if you wanna keep it N/A. If your looking for more above that turbo it.
I/H/E, cam, intake mani, and a tune. Should do you pretty good, By chance is your car a Canadian CX? If it is you'll want a different throttle body, pick up a 95 civicLX throttle body, and probably a P06 ECU.
