I beleive both of those ECUs are OBD1 so you should just be able to plug and play. Just make sure when you get the z6 it comes with the ECU exactly for that motor and you should be able to get under the dash, unplug one and plug the new one in.

i wasnt able to get the ecu for that motor because i bought the motor from a junkyard and someone already had stole it off of the car. So would i be able to buy one from a car the same year and would that work? Also will the ecu have to come from a 5speed car or does that matter?

yeah the manual vs. automatic really matters, you definately need to watch that. I Googled D16z6 and i thnk you have a P28 ECU, so i imagine if you just get a stock P28 ECU off Ebay you should be good to plug n play. Again, just make sure its for a 5 speed. You SHOULD be able to do that, i dont see why not.

I remember seeing a black n green box under the hood that said P28 on it but i did not keep thatcause i didnt know what it was and also it was a automatic so i didnt know if would have done me any good. you should see this motor it runs fine all i have to do is get some sensors and a few other things and all i paid for it was $150. But im gonna build it up before i stick in into my 91 CRX Si

yeah, you should just be able to get an OBD0 to OBD1conversion harness that is just plug and play. As for the ECU, go to junkyard or Ebay and search for OEM P28 ECU. Seems like that should work for you.
