Im looking to swap out my engine in my 81 civic and am not really sure what engines would fit. I would appreciate some expertise on the subject.

 

idk about an 81 civic, i would def think about upgrading to an early 90's civic an ek, or an ej civic. but if you have ur heart set on this 81 you could always just start with a b16, the bigger you go the more problems you might run into. How big of an engine were u thinking??

 

hey man keep the older cars, they have a look of there own that will separate you from the rest of the pack, but to get a better idea of if an engine will fit, go to a junk yard and measure a d series engine, or b series if you can find one, then compare it to your engine bay
