d15b7 into 90 sedan NEW ISSUE!
Long story short.
I had a very nice 95 civic that got mangled. I got another civic, A 90 model with a bad motor, the engine is seized. SO I thought I'd swap long blocks, put my b2 intake on the b7 block and go from there. one question. ON the back side of the block next to the oil pressure sender there is a 2 wire hookup on the b2 block that is not there on the b7, any idea what that is? Thanks, Chris________ VAPORGENIE VAPORIZER |

cooling fan switch.......the switch on the b7 is located on the thermostat housing. just extend your factory wiring and use the b7 plug and your good to go.

RE: d15b7 into 90 sedan NEW ISSUE
Ok.. the swap is complete, everything in it's place and it "RUNS" but smoking like a locomotive.
It is running very rich for some reason, and has a very rough idle when it settles down after starting. starts with no smoke and as it idles it gradually gets worse. The b7 motor came out of my old car and NEVER smoked, not even a little bit so I can only deduce that the problem is in the TB or intake, or the 4th gen sensors. Of course it could be burning **** out of the exhaust that is left from the previous engine. but I think that's a slim possibility. Any help on this? I am seriously considering putting the MPFI intake on, I have the engine bay harness and the ECU from the other car, what else would I need? ________ Arizona dispensaries |

if you intend on using the 95 ecu then an obd1 conversion is what else you will need. its easier and cheaper to stay obd0 and find yourself a pm6 ecu.
