Default engine swap

what is the best sohc swap to run a turbo kit? going to run a t3/t4 hybird turbo kit not sure if i should run sohc non-vtec or sohc vtec? any help will be greatful.

the d16z6 is a real good motor, its a vtec motor from the 92-95 civic ex or si.

thanks i was thinking about putting a vtec engine in the car. but i thought it would be to high of a comp ratio.

thats why you can just get a thick head gasket and it will help lower the compression ratio, also you can change the pistons to help lower the compression ratio.
the d16z6 is a really good motor and will handle boost
