need info on d15 head swaps????
 

i have a 89 civic 4 door and im trying to build a quick 4 door,it has the dpfi 1.5 d15b2 i want to put a different head on it, but i have no i dea what will fit a buddy of mine has a low millage 99 civic 1.6 head he said hill pass on to me for free will it fit?how about a 92 civic 1.5 head??? and other options besides these 2 heads????and what will it take to use them???

biggest difference you will notice is not a head swap, but a mpfi conversion. as far as what heads will fit, all 88-00 sohc heads will bolt right to your block. although using the 96-00 heads will require you to use 1 96-00 headbolt in the upper right hand corner of the head. using a sohc vtec head 92-00 along with all 96-00 heads will require you to use the coresponding timing belt(vtec tming belts even with the non vtec y7 head).

what about a 92 civic 1.5L head,id like it more for the fact that i can add a aftermarket cam

itll bolt right on........but your head and the 92 head share the same casting so there is really no difference.
