RE: swap into a 1988 civic
well...it has been done before, but ive read its a hard swap. One guy had a problem with his hood fitting and you have to realize how much wait that is in the front....if you dont have power steering its gunna be a fun time on those 3 pt turns. Ive been looking at it though and it seems highly possable and has been done....

RE: swap into a 1988 civic
ok i might be able to get my hands on a b16a2 short block without the hear for next to nothing, wud that fit nice and fill it bolt onto the d15b gearbox??

RE: swap into a 1988 civic
i dont think so..im pretty sure you need a b16 tranny.....but dont quote that.
|
RE: swap into a 1988 civic
wud it be a nice engine to use tho?
|
RE: swap into a 1988 civic
yeah, a b16a2 has an extra 10 hp than the a1 and if you can find an a1 tranny...it would bolt right on and and then you wouldnt have to convert to hydrolic or anything....or you can find a a2 trans but then your faced with the converting your car to the hydrolic transmission type..
