1994 civic engine swap for a h22
I just recently bought a 1994 civic ex coupe a couple of weeks ago (I should have pics up soon) and it has over 200k miles on it. So I'm planning on an engine swap within the next 6-8 months. I want 200 hp so I was thinking either Acura gsr or type-r engines but when I was doing research and talking to mechanics, I found that a prelude engine is cheaper than the b18c5 and just a little more than the b18c1.
I was wondering if any one had any experience with this swap. I've heard good things and several concerns but I haven't talked to anyone who has actually done it. My two main concerns are the weight of the heavier engine and how hard it is to put it in a civic If anyone could give me some info on a h22 engine swap, that would great |

First let me say I've never done it...(the swap i mean :)) but the added weight will be a bit of an issue. You may loose your AC if you have it and power steering may be an issue also. Power to weight will still be good tho.

I heard that a Prelude engine won't fit unless you take the a/c out.
