i have a 94 ex would it hurt to get rid of the cat converter

Nope. Might throw a check engine light, is illegal in all 50 states, won't pass a visual inspection, and in no way will pass an emissions inspection, but it won't hurt your engine.

would it benifit to go with a larger throtle body and dif injectors on my d16z6 with just cold air ex. and pulleys or would it be a waste of time

Without some serious mods, you're kind of wasting your time with injectors or a throttle body. For a little gain (~10-12whp total), get an intake, header, and exhaust. For more than that (and a big price jump), put a cam, stronger valves, valve springs, spring retainers, cam gear, intake manifold, and throttle body in the car. For more than that, you'll want forced induction. Most people either jump straight to the turbocharger step or decide to go intake/header/exhaust and call it good.

Maybe you'll inhale a little too much of the carbon monoxide you'll be spewing out your exhaust without a catalytic converter.

i havent removed the cat i was just asking. im gonna go with a hi flow i have cold air intake header and exaughst and pulleys. i was just looking for some bolt ons to help. i plan on rebuilding the d soon and hope to boost it. thanks for the info
