Question Remanufactured engine advice

I have a 1995 civic EX coupe. It's burning oil so I'm looking at replacing the existing engine with 177,000 miles with a remanufactured engine. I'm not looking to upgrade the engine, I want to keep it as OEM as possible. I have absolutely no experience with this. I wouldn't be doing the work but a local mechanic would. What is a good recommendation for a reputable engine remanufacturer?

I've seen places that offer a three-year 36,000 mile warranties and one place in California that offers two year warranties. I expect that none of these companies will make it easy in case something goes wrong with the remanufactured engine but it would be nice not to start off with a company that has a history of pushing out bad work.

Any advice?
