d16z6 or B'it?
Looking to purchase my first civic, I'm stuck on wanting a 92-95 sedan man tranny. I was under the assumption all the sedan's came with the 1.6 but now I'm seeing only the EX did and the rest are 1.5,
My question is, just in case I find a good deal that happens to have the 1.5..
is it easier to swap a D16 in or a B18? I know what's involved with dropping the B in but what about swapping to a D16? what parts ect do you need to do?
will the 1.5 tranny mount to the 1.6?
thanks for any and all help

Not to sound like a d!ck, but do some research first. This is an extremely common swap (both the D16 and B18). There is tons of information already out there. Google it and start reading.

I agree with this post - but a quick clarification for you: the tranny you have from the 1.5L will bolt to the 1.6L, but the gears are a little longer - meaning it was built for good gas mileage rather than high RPM's - like a B16 tranny. I swapped in a DOHC ZC in my 91 hatchy some time ago and put a A'PEXi turbo kit on it. I had the 1.5L tranny and loved it for a turbo car! The gears are a little longer, so it was great for boost. For N/A I wouldn't use it though.
