Does Wheel Bolt Pattern change with an engine swap?
I have a 1994 Honda Civic DX Sedan. Currently it has the stock D15B7 engine in it. I plan on doing a B16A2 or A3 down the road at some point. The question is... when you replace the axles in the car does that also change the bolt pattern for the front wheels. I am looking into buying some 4 bolt wheels and I want to know if they will work with the new engine/axles.
I am a newbie... I do not plan on doing the engine install myself. A friend will help me install it (who knows what to do) or I'll have it professionally installed. Thanks for help in advance, Jim. |
RE: Does Wheel Bolt Pattern change with an engine swap?
the axles just have a spline on one end. then they slip into the hub. the hub is what has the lugs on it, just replaceing the axles will keep the same bolt pattern.

even upgrading to Integra brakes front and rear will not change the bolt pattern, so long as its not type-r 5 lug, but thats abvious
