Eg With B series Swap How To

Ok I read alot of posts that say what parts do I need to swap a b18 or a B16 into my 5th gen civic. So Im going to make a post of what you will need and maybe we can have it be a sticky or something. Here it goes.

To Swap A 89-91jdm B16a(jdm) or a b17a or b18a:

Transmission-All these motors use cable clutch trannies and will require Hasport cable conversion kit.
Mounts-Using a hydrolic b-series tranny, a combo of stock civic and integra mounts will work. You need to change the bracket under the timing belt on the back of the engine for the right year.
Ecu-pr3 from a 92-93rsi or xsi, p30 or modified p28 for a b16a, a p61 or a modifed p28 for the b17, or a 94-95 pr4 for a b18a.
Electric-hatch's will need to convert to 4 wire oxygen sensors.Non vtec models need vtec solenoid and vtec pressure. All models use modified stock harnesses.Dont forget to add a knock sensor except when using a chipped p28
Axles-90-93 integra axles,94 up integra axles,94-97 del sol vtec axles,or 99-00 civic si axles.
linkage-94 up integra linkage
upper radiator hose-for the b16 and b17 swap use the 94 del sol vtec hose. for the b18a use 94 integra ls.
Lower radiator hose-94 del sol vtec
throttle cable-b16 and b17 use the 92 gsr b18 use the 90 integra ls
Air conditioning-94-95 del sol vtec ac bracket
If you use a first gen b16 replace the distributor with one from a 92-93 gsr,94-95 gsr or a 94-95 del sol vtec. For 90-91 b18a replace distributor with one from a 92-95 integra b18a or b18b.

Now For the Integra B18B Engine Swap

Tranny- Any of the above mentioned trannies with the conversion kit, or any of the following: y21,y80,s80,s4c
Mounts-Combo of stock civic and integra mounts if using a hydraulic tranny. On some obd2 motors, you may have to change the bracket under the timing belt for one of the appropriate year of the motor.
Ecu-Pr4 from 94-95 integra
Electric-Hatchs need to convert to 4 wire o2 sensors
Axles-90-93 integra axles, 94 up integra axles,94-97 del sol vtec axles,or 99-00 civic si axles.
Linkage-94 up integra linkage
Upper Radiator Hose-94 integra ls
Lower Radiator Hose-94 del sol vtec
Throttle Cable-94 integra ls
It is recommended you dont use an obd2 ecu bc of the difficult wiring. If you do choose and ecu that does not use the same plugs as the stock ecu, buy an adapter harness to save yourself some trouble.

b18c1 and c5 as well as civic si b16a

Tranny-Any of the already mentioned transmissions will work.
Mounts-Same as for the b18b, although with all the added hp, I would recommend aftermarket hasport mounts.
Ecu-Use the ecu that originally came with that particular engine with proper modification to wiring.frankenstein motors(ls vtec and crvtec) should use modded vtec ecus. For 96 up engines, back date electronixs and use an obd1 ecu, or buy an adapter harness and make proper wiring mods.
Electric-For the B18c's add air intake bypass wiring.Hatchbacks convert to 4 wire o2.Non vtec models need vtec solenoid and vtec pressure.Mod Stock harness to fit, and add knock sensor except when using a chipped p28
Axles-Same as above swaps.
Linkage-Same as above swaps.
Upper Radiator Hose-Engines with b16 head or type r head use 94 del sol vtec. For engines with the gsr head, use 94 gsr
Lower Radiator Hose-Same as above swaps.
Thottle Cable-For the b16a head, us 94 del sol vtec. For the gsr head, use 94 gsr, for type r head, use a 98 type r

sooo basically "b18c1 and c5 as well as civic si b16a" is the easiest swap?

i myself am looking to go for a swap for my 92 integra.waiting to save some more cash for it.

noregrets- use a throttle cable from any90-93 integra

To Swap A 89-91jdm B16a(jdm) or a b17a or b18a:

Transmission-All these motors use cable clutch trannies and will require Hasport cable conversion kit.(unless you use a hydro tranny like I did)
Mounts-Using a hydrolic b-series tranny, a combo of stock civic and integra mounts will work.
Axles-90-93 integra axles,94 up integra axles,94-97 del sol vtec axles,or 99-00 civic si axles.
linkage-94 up integra linkage (you can also use the si linkage)
upper radiator hose-for the b16 and b17 swap use the 94 del sol vtec hose. for the b18a use 94 integra ls.

Also if you keep your Power Steering, you have to get a different bracket for the power steering pump, AND, your safe on electrical issues if you got the ECU & Wire Harness out of the same car the engine came out of...
