Default Quick ?

I dont know anything really about engine swaps but my 94 civic had an engine swap before i got it and I wanna know what V-Tec engine it is..... I know where it says it at on the engine but in an engine swap does the part with the engine series always get changed cause it says d15 but it feels a lil faster than that....

Default RE: Quick ?

If it is a swaped motor and still a D15 its either a JDM D15B witch is Vtec or you got fooled and it is the USDM D15B7 witch is not Vtec.. One last thing this is a good rule of thumb about vtec look at the upper left hand coner of the head.. if there is a solenoid then its vtec.. no solenoid then its not vtec.. and to answer the last question.. ummm no the engine series dose not change. Most of the time when doing an engine swap the engine, tranny, and axles are swaped out. Like when I did an LS swap in to my 92 EG HB I spwaped it in with the enigne and tranny connected.. Andlast but not least it might be the JDM D15B cause they produce 135hp buddy
