Default wiring harness question

I know you're all going to yell at me for downgrading, but my logic is that i'm about to be broke and away at college, so if i can get 50 miles a gallon that's awesome...

I'm about to get a hold of an si hatch with 133,000 miles on it, so for the summer i was thinking about buying this engine on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-95...ayphotohosting
and then selling the D16Z6, tranny and ECU and i could probably get enough money from that to do the entire D15Z1 swap...

I've already looked up CV joints, and the z6 and Z1 have the same ones, so i'm just going to keep though from the z6, meanwhile i know i'll have to get the ecu from the vx, i found that at a jumkyard type place. Meanwhile, i'm going to have to get a transmission, and a wire harness.

I feel comfortable doing every component of an engine swap, but the wire harness iss the one thing i'm not sure about... what's the difficulty level of it? I only ask this becasue my friend tried to swap on his mazda and "the same engine" had a different wiring hookup so it didn't work out, and he gave up...
but the reason i'm hesitant is because the engine's imported from japan, is it going to have the same wire harness type connections.

any help is awesome right now...

would i be able to use the harness from the d16z6? again it seems like a stupid question but my main concern is usdm vs an imported D15Z1

I'm not entirely sure, but I would think most everything will work, you'll just end up with some extra plugs that you don't use.
