Default 96 civic EX swap question

Hey guys, Im planning on swapping the engine on my 96 civic EX. My question is, whats the best engine I can get for my car and what are its specs?. I got about 5000-6000 dollars for it. I heard the C32A is a good engine but I dont know if it will fit in my car. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanx guys.

Look into a B18C1 (GSR) motor for turbo applications, and a B18C5 for N/A. You should have no problem buying either with that much money.

Hey i did some research and found this website www.sunrisejdmmotors.com. they have a b18c type R for $3899, here´s the info

Manufacturer: Honda
Model: Integra Type R
Mileage: 15000 -29000
Horsepower: 200 HP
Description: Acura Integra Type R 96-97 Dohc Vtec 1.8 L ( Engine, Transmission Manual, ECU, Intake Manifold, Exhaust Manifold, Distributor, Alternatur, Starter, Power Steering Pump, All Sensors, Clutch, Fly Wheel, Pressure Plate )
Part#: B18C Type R

they also have an h22a thats a lot cheaper, its for $ 1599 and it has the same amount of hp. here´s the info

Manufacturer: Honda
Model: Prelude
Mileage: 35000 -45000
Horsepower: 200 HP
Description: Honda Prelude 92-96 Dohc Vtec 2.2 L ( Engine, Transmission, ECU, Intake Manifold, Exhaust Manifold, Distributor, Alternatur, Starter, Power Steering Pump, All Sensors, Clutch, Fly Wheel, Pressure Plate )
Part#: H22A 92-96

which engine do you think its the best? im thinking of gettin the h22a since it has the same amount of hp (though i dont know the torque on either of em) for far less money, but i dont know if is as good an engine as the b18c, i need some info. if the b18c is a lot better than the h22a then im willing to pay the extra cash, what do you guys think? Also, whats the gas mileage on this engines?

Go B18C. The H22 may look good specs-wise, but it is a much larger engine, and it doesn't hold up as well as the B when you go to mod or turbo it. Just do a search on here and find out all you can about both engines and troll the swap threads. But IMO, the B18C will give you more bang for the buck!
