Default 96' D16Y7 worth keepin' ?

I just got a 96' dx coupe with a d16y7 engine and i want to tune my engine and possibly even turbocharge it one day. I'm just wondering is my engine any good for forced induction or should i look into swappin? Any advice would be helpful please...

the y7 is a decnt motor, before boosting or anything i would suggest doing a compression test and stuff to check the health of your motor before spendint the $$ into boosting it, maybe rebuild your motor or find a cheap d16y7 and build it on the side while you can still drive your car until its done.
