from experiance, dont build up the d series unless you plan on turboing or certain things keep you from swaping/turbo. its really not worth putting on i/h/e for about 10-12 hp gains. turbo the d or swap in a b..or k or h for that matter

 

did you sell your eclipse in 99' or it must have been pretty special but anyway to get your honda to run 5 sec you better get a top fuel funny car motor and a tube fram and a fiber body with schoots behind ya to stop ya.

like you said you had a spyder and i had a gsx witch is a hell of a lot faster and cost a heck of a lot more.. and i bet you didn't have anything really done to it.. i had everything on my old gsx all redone.
