97 engine swap...NEED advice

well im not doing the swap until the engine dies...and its running strong now..i most likely wont do the swap for about another year..so at that point ill be good puting 6 grand into the motor and a turbo...a little more wont be much of a problem.. the work will be done by me so thats nothing to worry about

i say swap in a B, maybe mild rebuild and boost it, like MXS said, other than the B the swaps are pretty in-depth, although they are possible. With $6K, you could have yourself a nice setup

any recomendations on a turbo for the b18c5...im just trying to get a good outlook now on everything...learn all i can...and by the time im ready to do it ill have everything and all..

oh, you didn't say you were going to turbo it, that changes everything.

Well then you need to some research and figure out why we recommend the motors we do. Maybe instead of asking "what is best to boost," you should ask "what makes certain engines more boost friendly?"

We can't build your car for you, so you can't rely on our knowledge to get you by
