b18b1 intake problem

ive got my b18b1 into my ek now and i noticed that my intake manifold isnt drilled for an IAT sensor or the solenoid on the top of the manifold...is this gonna be a problem or can i work around it?

(if this is in the wrong section im sorry..i wasnt sure where to post it)

96-00 Civic ("EK) has a IAT sensor in the intake arm, not in the manifold, so that should matter to you at all.

im not sure what you mean...ive seen two different types of manifolds for the LS one that has a spot drilled into the manifold and one that doesnt...my harness has the sensor that goes in the intake...is the LS computer gonna notice the difference..ive attatched pictures showing the difference in manifolds...whats the sensor on top of the other manifold

is the computer gonna be able to tell that the sensor is in the intake tube and not the runner on the manifold?

the manifold on the left is the one thats on the motor in my car..im trying to stay obd2 compliant

Stop thinking too much. You have a 96-00 Civic. Are you using the stock harness on the swap?

If yes, then the IAT sensor is in the intake arm.

If not, then there should be a IAT sensor on the manifold to plug in using the Integra harness. At least my 98 Integra has one.

My guess is yes for the harness - seeing as the 96-00 Civic has a one piece harness while the tegs have a two piece which can be spearate at the passenger shock tower (just like 92-95 Civics).

EDIT: Possible that the manifold you have came from an older vehicle like a 90-93 Integra or something?

yes im using my stock EX harness...so i should be fine...i dont mean to overthink things...im just trying to make this right the first time...weve gotten a ton of progress done in the past couple days and i dont wanna lose momentum

Thats what we are here for :)

You are fine using the stock sensor etc
